2006 TUNA FISHING INFORMATION
Thank you for your interest in the Miss Belmar Princess. She is a 120' air-conditioned fishing vessel with three turbo diesel engines, bringing you to great off-shore fishing grounds within 4 ½ hours. We are the Fastest Party Boat in Belmar, and will be Tuna fishing 4 days per week this season, beginning in September. The Miss Belmar Princess boasts state of the art navigational equipment, fish finders, and electronics. We offer a full galley grill selling sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, snacks, pizzas and refreshments. We have separate men and women facilities, a tackle shop, expansive sundeck, color TV, microwave for your use, an indoor cabin featuring full cushioned seating, enough bunks for 40 passengers, helpful and courteous mates, as well as fish cleaning services for your catch.
The Miss Belmar Princess will be sailing every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, with a 30 passenger limit. The cost is $275 per person and includes all bait and ice. On Tuesday nights, we will limit the boat to 22 passengers with a cost of $320 per person. Reservations are required to secure a spot on the trip, along with a $100 deposit per person with the balance due at the boat, the day of the trip. Please call our office during business hours Monday – Friday to reserve. We accept all major credit cards. You can also mail us a check, just be sure to include the date of the trip, along with the name and phone number of all persons in your party. YOU MUST TELL US AT THIS TIME IF YOU WILL BE NEEDING RENTAL EQUIPMENT.
Trips depart the dock PROMPTLY at 5 PM. Absolutely NO ONE will be allowed to board prior to the Captain’s Pre-Boarding Announcement at 4 PM. This is an overnight trip, approximately 24 hours in length. THE CAPTAIN RETAINS THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE TRIP AT THE DOCK.
TACKLE
Rental equipment is available for $25. Tackle, we recommend stand up outfits in the 50-80 lb. class with 6/0 reels spooled with 80 lb. test. Terminal tackle should be in the same range, with hooks 7/0 to 9/0, swivels 80 lb. test, leader material from 60-100 lb. If you are using rental equipment, the first hook is included. Should you need additional hooks, you may either bring your own or purchase them from our on-board tackle shop.
WHAT TO BRING
- Small food coolers are welcome. Please leave large coolers in the car. Your catch will be properly tagged and iced down by our crew. We have sufficient holds for 150+ pounds of fish.
- No alcohol allowed.
- Rain gear is recommended. It is better to come prepared, then to be wet!
- Sleeping bags and pillows are recommended should you want to take a nap on the ride in or out from the fishing grounds.
- Cameras are permitted, and recommended!
- Gratuity for the mates is not included. It is permitted and greatly appreciated!
DIRECTIONS
Garden State Parkway to exit #98. Take Route 138 East for 3.5 miles to Route 35 North. Belmar Marina is 1 mile ahead on the left. Plenty of free parking. Centrally located 50 minutes from Newark, 60 minutes from Atlantic City.
